This video was a little hard to watch, mostly because I am guilty of almost all of the things it says not to do. I spent many of my highschool and college years(and sometimes still today) basking in the sun, or tanning bed, all to maintain that "beautiful" glow. While I'm sure we are all guilty of risky behaviors that could in the long run be detrimental to our health, this is something that can for the most part be so easily prevented. Cancer is an awful, awful disease that has directly, or indirectly, effected us all in some way or another. Recently more than ever I have seen and heard of so many family and friends who have had to face this disease, and while some are still fighting, others have lost their battle and are now in a much better place. I know things like cancer happen and we are stuck wondering "WHY?", but it is important to remember that God put the people who surround us in our life for a reason, and his plan is greater than ours will ever be. And while we should continue to support, lift up, and stay strong for our loved ones, we should also remember to take the preventive health measures that we can to keep cancer from effecting us even more. So make sure and share this video with someone that you love and want to see stay healthy and happy! :)

Sunday Pin-Day
How Pinteresting...
Yes, I know, I am two days late-busy weekend-but I wanted to start this new little blogging tradition where I make Sundays my Sunday Pin-Day. And since I'm sure you love Pinterest as much as I do(what girl doesn't?) then hopefully you will enjoy seeing my weekly favorites. Happy Pinning!

"Breakfast at Tiffany's"
With all of the stresses I have going on lately(school, work, money, people, etc) it is so easy for me to let myself get a little "down in the dumps". I have noticed that I have felt this way more than a few times this week, so I love it when I get a chance to take my mind off of the real world and remember the things that make me smile. This is one reason I love to hop on over to Barnes & Nobles occasionally on my lunch break. While I was making a visit to B&N one day this week, wandering around admiring and skimming through the new and old books, I heard a song that immediatley brought a smile to my face and warmed my heart. They began playing "Moon River" from one of my all time favorites, Breakfast at Tiffany's. It's amazing how music and songs that have personal meaning can lift up your spirits and instantly bring back a special feeling or memory. It is pretty rare that I hear that particular song, which is another reason that makes it so wonderful, not to mention how much I adore the movie and how I felt the very first time to watch it. Maybe because I feel like I can relate to the main character Holly Golightly(Audrey Hepburn) in so many ways. She is a little goofy, irrationale, and has a love for coffee and Tiffany's. Mostly though, because she is so in love with love, but at the same time hesistant of giving away her whole heart, in fear of it being broken. Either way, it is a wonderful movie, and every girl should see it atleast once! I'm so glad something as simple as a song could brighten my day-the little things really do make life so much better. :)

Tagged
Excited to have been tagged in this fun post by Lindsey @ lisforlindsey ! Check it out and play along!
[the rules...]
[the rules...]
one\ you must post the rules.
two\ post eleven fun facts about yourself on the blog post.
three\ answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and then create eleven new questions to ask the people you've tagged.
four\ tag eleven people and link them on your post
five\ let them know you've tagged them!
[Eleven fun facts about your truly...]
one. I'm a big believer in pampering one's self and really indulging in things that you love. In my case; sushi, manicures, reading, Sex and the City, coffee, shopping, cupcakes, brownies, you get the idea...
two. I'm obsessed with weddings. Not just my future (pinterest) wedding per say, just weddings in general. I love everything about them. My mom has brought me home wedding magazines since I was a little girl, and even watching a wedding on t.v. could make me tear up.
three. I am way too emotional. Or maybe I am not any more emotional than the next girl, I am just terrible at hiding it. You never have to wonder how I feel about something though, which I guess could be the silver lining.
four. I can't stand confrontation or someone being mad/upset at me. Don't get me wrong, I am always willing to stand up for myself when needed, but it has to be resolved that day or else I will lose sleep thinking about it.
five. I am a huge worrier and I hate it. I worry about literally everything(which I know came from my dad), but working on it daily.
six. If I could have sushi twice a day, everyday I would. It is my favorite!!
seven. I'm obsessed with romance movies and fairytales, and pretty much refuse to settle for anything less than happily ever after in my own life.
eight. Puppies and babies absolutely melt my heart, I can't wait to have my own of each someday. :)
nine. Education and career goals are very important things to me that I want to achieve on my own. I've always been such a nerd when it comes to school.
ten. I am pretty silly/goofy most of the time, so I'm glad to be with someone who isn't afraid to laugh at me or themselves.
eleven. I have always dreamed of living in a huge city. I really dislike driving, so not having to have a car would be perfect.
[questions from lindsey]
one\Since you know we'll soon know what I am looking forward to in the new year, What are you looking forward to?
This new year I am looking forward to making a wonderful relationship even better. :)

Like most little girls growing up I wanted to be a teacher, but as I got older decided it wasn't for me.

five\What is your greatest fear?
Losing someone close to me.
six\What is one thing you would want in your dream home?
I would love to have a reading nook in the kitchen with a window.
seven\I am borrowing this from a question I saw once, Is there a certain trend you wish you could pull off? What is it?
Not that I can think of...
eight\ Why did you start your blog?
I started a blog because I love the idea of being able to express what's on your mind while also getting inspiration from other bloggers.
nine\If you could meet anyone, past or present, who would it be? Why?
If I could meet anyone it would be Princess Diana. I have been infatuated with her since I was a little girl and even did a project on her in elementary school.

The Bahamas, prettiest water I have ever seen. I definitely want to visit the Greek Isles one day though, the pictures are absolutely beautiful.

The Ones I Love-Part II
The older I get, the more I realize how rare it is to find true friendships. I can't say I mind though, because it just makes it that much more special when you do.
Though I would love to, it would take forever to tell you about all of them one by one-so just know that they are all beautiful girls inside and out, and each have a special place in my heart<3
And while some friendships are new and others are as old as I am, I appreciate and love them each so very much. After all, friends are the family that you get to choose.
And while I love all of my old and new friends dearly, there is definitely something to be said about having a great group of girlfriends. And I must say, mine are pretty amazing.

The Ones I Love
Before I officially start my "blogging" I thought it would be a good idea to introduce the ones I love most, since I'm sure they will be talked about often in future blog posts. So the next two blogs will be about two things: family & friends. The two blessings I am most thankful for. Though we have been through our own share of ups and down, every laugh, tear, and hug has brought us closer together and reminded us that at the end of the day, all we have is each other.
"Sisters are a little bit of childhood that can never be lost."
Meghan.Krista.Ariel
These are my lovely sissy's. Like I said earlier, I am the oldest, Ariel is the middle, & Krista is the baby. We are very much alike, but extremely different at the same time. Does that make sense? We have our own characteristics that make us each our own. We may have had a few of our own knock-down drag outs, but at the end of the day we are always on the same side and will face whatever problems that may come along hand in hand.
Dad & Me
My dad is truly the most hard-working, selfless, loving man I know. He has sacrificid so much for me and my sisters and continues to give 100% everyday. While he can be a little overly protective and worry excessively about things that just aren't worth the time, I am sure it is just what comes with having three daughters. Love you Dad :)
Mom
There are so many things I could say about my beautiful mom. She is kind, thoughtful, hard-working, and independent. People constantly tell us we look just alike(which is okay by me). She has always supported and stood behind in any decision I make. I am so blessed to have the relationship that my sisters and I share with her. Love you much.
Family Fun.
Then there is this guy, the boyfriend (I'll try not to make it too mushy.) As if I wasn't blessed enough, God decided it was time to put this wonderful guy in my life. He has been an inspiration to me since day one and we already have so many wonderful memories together. He is sweet, giving, thoughtful, smart, a blast to be around, and always down for a good laugh(which is my favorite). Love you sweets.
Throughout our relationship I have also been given the chance to become close to his wonderful family. They have been so kind and accepting to me and I am beyond thankful for each and everyone of them.
Sorry if the first few posts are major information overload, but I am excited to introduce my friends and family to you, especially since they are major parts in my life story! :)

About Time
Well... I finally did it. I made a blog. I know, about time, right? It is something I have been meaning to do for awhile, and actually looking forward to doing. You could definitely say I am new to the whole blogging world. While I have dampered into reading a few here and there, I have never actually been a "follower". However, I do believe that writing and expressing yourself is good for the soul, so I will start my blogging today.
Let me begin by telling you about what I do. I am a 24 year old recent graduate from The University of Alabama, where I majored in Health Promotion/Education. I absolutely loved every minute of my college days and living in Tuscaloosa, and will cherish the friendships I made for a lifetime. While I am currently working on UA campus, Tuscaloosa just doesn't feel the same as it did in those few years as a care free student. This brings me to my next point, work. While it took me what felt like an eternity of month after month job searching, I was finally offered a job at the last place I thought to look, UA. While it doesn't exactly have me rolling in the dough, it is a job doing what I love, and they are paying for me to attend graduate school. Pretty good deal, right? And yes, I said Graduate school. The exhausting, occasionally gruesome journey I will be encountering for the next 1.5 years. This journey, however, will lead me closer to the career goals I long for; working to increase health education and promotion in America to improve healthier lifestyles and diminish childhood obesity causing chronic disease.
Okay, enough about what I do and a little more about who I am. I am the oldest of 3 girls (yes, my dad's hair gray'd rather early) along with a step brother and step sister from my mom's remarriage, and two step brother's from my dad's. Needless to say, we are another version of the Brady Bunch. While at times it can be nervewracking, I really wouldn't have it any other way. I have aslight major addiction to COFFEE, shopping, sweets, all things pink, Cinderella, pictures, and cheesy romantic-comedies. I am about as girly as it gets(my middle sister got all the athletic, outdoorsy traits) and like every girl I know, am often guilty of over-thinking, over-reacting, over-analyzing, and letting things get to me that shouldn't. I am extremely picky when it comes to..well, just about everything. I am a major planner which drives alot of people (especially the BF) completely crazy, and I like to have/make itneraries for every situation-along with lists, weird I know. I like love Adele, John Mayer, and Taylor Swift and choose to believe they've written most of their songs about my personal life situations. I felt "In a Dream" would be an appropriate blog title for myself because it usually is where my head is. I have been a major daydreamer my whole life (which has caused a few problems in certain situations), but it is just who I am. I believe in fairytales and that there is no dream too big. Seeing the ones important to me (which I will make a whole seperate blog for later) warms my heart, and catching up with old(or new) friends over a nice dinner and glass of wine is definitely my favorite. I love God and do my best to work on my relationship with him daily.
While I could go on and on, it might be best that I end here to actually have something to write about for future blog posts. My life is constantly changing these days, so hopefully this will be a way for me to share the memories being made!
